J-Hope Returns! BTS Star Completes Military Service with
Style
In a heartwarming scene straight out of a K-drama, J-Hope,
the multi-talented dancer-rapper from BTS, was officially discharged from his
18-month military service this Thursday. Hugs, bouquets, and an unexpected
serenade—this homecoming had it all!
Emerging from the 36th Army Infantry Division boot camp in
Wonju, just a breezy 90 kilometers from Seoul, J-Hope was greeted with the kind
of fanfare befitting a global superstar. The man himself was beaming, proving
that even army drills can't dim his bright spirit. Jin, BTS’s eldest member and
the first to complete his service, was on the scene, sporting black sunglasses
and a red jacket, looking like he stepped off a runway rather than military
service.
The BTS Military Saga Continues
With the rest of the BTS members—Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and
Jungkook—still serving their time, Jin was the lone hyung welcoming J-Hope
back. South Korea mandates all able-bodied men to serve 18 to 21 months, and
J-Hope's turn has officially wrapped up. He saluted, waved, and accepted cheers
from journalists, who clearly couldn’t get enough of this historic moment.
Fans, advised by BigHit Music to stay away to prevent
crowding (but you know ARMYs, always there in spirit), were undoubtedly
cheering him on from every corner of the globe. J-Hope himself shared touching
words of gratitude for the citizens of Wonju who cheered for the soldiers,
adding, “It was very touching.”
Jin Kneels, J-Hope Sings, and Mic Holders Fumble
In a scene that could easily become a meme, Jin got down on
one knee—not to propose, mind you—but to gather microphones on behalf of the
press. His thoughtful gesture didn't go unnoticed. “During the service, I felt
soldiers have been working hard, dedicating themselves, and doing so much for
the country. I think it would be even more meaningful if the public showed such
warm interest and love,” J-Hope said, melting hearts everywhere.
A Sweet Farewell
Not one to miss a beat, J-Hope got into a sleek black
minivan, singing the first line of a military song and blowing kisses through
the window. Even as the vehicle drove away, he continued to show love to the
press and fans. Pure J-Hope style.
Having enlisted in April, J-Hope served as an assistant
drill instructor after his basic training. And what's next for our sunshine?
Following his discharge, J-Hope is set to resume individual activities, much to
the delight of fans. Jin has already been active post-discharge, participating
in the 2024 Summer Olympics torch relay and gearing up for a solo project
release.
Welcome Back, J-Hope!
The countdown for more BTS members to complete their service
continues. For now, all eyes are on J-Hope as he returns to the public eye, and
we can’t wait to see what this chapter holds for him. One thing’s for sure: the
ARMY is ready to cheer him on every step of the way.
Keep an eye out for updates, because with BTS, there’s never
a dull moment!
